Every Wednesday in June the Country Club Centre presents a free weekly drop-in playgroup for little ones and their caregivers. Enjoy play, crafts, stories and songs with ECE certified educators from PacificCare. Activites appropriate for children 5 years and younger. In July and August the Western Riding Camp is a 3-day camp for children aged 6 to 14. It runs from 9am – 2pm on July 8, 9, 10 - July 29, 30, 31 - August 12, 13, 14 and August 19, 20, 21. Western Riding Camp is for both the beginner equestrian and the experienced. For example, at Riding Camp, equestrians can expect to part take in the daily care of the horses and ponies at Tiger Lily Farm. There are daily riding lessons, and stable management, trail rides, horse crafts and games are just a few of the activities children can expect. If it's raining outside don't forget to keep the Nanaimo Aquatic And Leisure Centre in mind. Many people consider this to be one of the best leisure centres in North America! You'll find three waterslides, wave pool, beach, lazy river, fish boat with water jets and falls and a 50 metre pool with diving boards. For the adults there is a hot tub, steam room and dry sauna. The Aquatic Centre is located at 741 3rd Street.
