In the North Nanaimo area, one of the largest condo complexes is Longwood.
Longwood is made up of six buildings including: Ambleside built in 1997, Carisbrooke built in 1998, Stonecroft built in 1999, Coniston built in 2000, Mayfield in 2006 and Thornbridge built in 2010.
The big news at Longwood is that a seventh building, called Windermere at Longwood, will be under construction soon with pre-sales already started.
The Longwood development is quite lovely. It is beautifully landscaped with two pretty ponds, a small bridge, plenty of trees, lush foliage and trails to nearby shopping. It’s a small oasis set on its own grounds.

The complex is situated just off Uplands Drive and between Oliver Road and Turner Road. There are two entrances into the property.
Longwood is adult oriented and allows one small pet and has a no rentals clause.
The units have gas fireplaces, most have a patio or deck, lovely, bright kitchens, in-suite laundry and adequate storage. Some have a breakfast nook and all have a dining area.
The Longwood buildings are tastefully designed and are very comfortable.
